2015 Sierra High Route
We spent 7 days hiking from North Lake to McGee Trailheads on the Sierra High Route. Most days had afternoon thunderstorms. We always tried to arrive in camp before the rain, but were not always successful. One morning Dean woke with his tent in the center of a larger puddle. Luckily the floor of his tent did not leak. I was not so lucky. My floor leaked and I had to build a trench under my tent to encourage the water to run away. My saving grace was that on this day the rains ended early and my leak was not serious.
