Day 15: Tal to Syrange
5,600 to 3,600 feet
This was the last day of trekking. It was a short day. We started at 7:30 and, with a lunch stop, and arrived at our destination by 1 pm. There was a waterfall above our lodge. I took a swim in one of the pools below the falls - very refreshing! We are fully back in the Indian influenced culture. Much of the magic of the remote villages is gone. There was a dramatic difference in lifestyle as we got deeper into the mountains and now we are out again. We are still in the mountains, but this area is fully connected by road.

Day 16: Syrange to Pokhara
Part 1 - Besishahar
This morning ten of us loaded into a Mahandra Maxx Jeep; 5 trekkers, 3 porters, 1 guide, and the driver; for a two hour jeep ride to Besishahar on a very rough road. At times, the driver had to shift to extreme 4-wheel drive. The high peaks became briefly visible over one village. So beautiful! Besishahar is a large village or small city with a paved road. Our porters went their own way on a bus from here. We are waiting for our van to arrive to take us to Pokhara.
