Manaslu Trek Day 11
Samdo to Dharmasala
12,400 to 14,665 feet
This was another short day. We were on the trail for about 3 to 4 hours. It wasn't too difficult. The way was gradually up. Along the way we didn't pass too many local people, only a peddler with a blanket of jewelry alongside the trail. We got into camp around noon. The accommodations were skimpy. I was in a room with stone walls and large rocks for the floor crammed with 3 beds. There was hardly room to put my pack on the floor. Dharmasala provides a camp to launch over the pass the next day, and that is about all. There was no village here. We sat around most of the day. When the clouds rolled in around 4pm, it got very cold. Even in the sun it was cold.
