Day 5-6 Ghilling & Ghami
After lunch we moved on to Ghilling. We walked around the village and visited a boarding school. All the kids were just coming in for a study time in one large room at 5pm. There were about 70 kids and 12 teachers. Kids come from many villages and even the city of Pokhara to learn the Tibetan language at this school. The also learn Engish. When we got to the guest house in Ghilling, there was this Nepali woman wrapping yarn into a ball in the light of the window of the dining room. The yarn is wrapped around her legs. I asked for her name in Nepali and she told me what sounded like Chree. Later, I saw she was also our cook and host. Before leaving, we visited the school again. Kids were in classrooms by grade, but classes hadn't begun yet. As we entered a classroom, the kids quickly got quiet and pretended to be working. Pramod got a few kids to sing for us, and one whole class to sing. The next day we moved on to Ghami.
