2011 High Sierra Trail
A 7-day, 65-mile, trans-Sierra trek from Cresent Meadow to Whitney Portal in Sequoia National Park. On our final day, we summited Mt Whitney and were chased off the mountain by thunder, lightening, hail, rain, and rock slides. Shortly after arriving at Whitney Portal a downpour made the final stream crossing impassable. We made it out just before this happened.
