Edge of the Storm
This is taken from San Antonio Pass, Peru at 16,664 feet. On the previous 3 days we were on the east side of the mountain range. The storms from the Amazon rain forest come from the east, hit the barrier of the Andes. Once we crossed from the east to the west side of this range, we left the stormy weather behind us. This view and the clouds butting against the western side of the mountains are a reminder the stormy weather I had just passed through. I wanted to hike down to the torquoise lake you see in this photos, but alas, that is for another trek. What a beautiful view. I soaked it in as long as possible before we had to retrace our steps back down the way we came up.
