Banner Peak looms over us at sunset. To the right of Banner Peak is North Glacier Pass. We start the next day by climbing 2000 feet to the pass and then continue beyond.

Day 5: We get an early start this day, on the trail at 7am. It’s cold this morning, so cold I hike with my hands in my pockets to warm my fingers until the sun rises over the sides of the canyon.

I went on an early morning photo tour in Monument Valley. I love the simple colors and the silhouette in this photo as the sun is about to rise.

Lower Antelope Canyon is an amazing place to photograph. I was part of a small group tour, just myself and a friend. The canyon is short, but every turn shows amazing curves and light. For the occassion, I grabbed a fresh camera battery from my car. When I entered the canyon and tried taking my first pictures, the camera shut down before it could snap the shot. I managed a only few successful shots during the tour. This is one of them.

Kanarra Creek Falls

The nice thing about hiking to these falls in mid-November is that you have the place all to yourself. The hard thing is that you have to walk in the water to get here and take this shot ....and the water was freezing cold!
